The Greater Pittsburgh CISO Group

 No one understands today's threat landscape quite like CISOs. That's why we created the Greater Pittsburgh CISO Group, bringing together like-minded peers to discuss the ever-changing threats and leverage their network. Bad guys don't take a break, but with the CISO Group, at least you're not alone in the fight. 

The Greater Pittsburgh CISO Group is a communications forum between the Chief Information Security Officers in the Greater Pittsburgh area with the goal of improving information security for the region’s businesses. 

CISOs work around the clock to ensure the privacy and data protection of company and customer data, keeping information security risks a top priority of their employees, maintaining processes to identify vulnerabilities and mitigating security risks to an acceptable level. CISOs also consult with business leaders to ensure that their operations and third-party providers can withstand and respond to the ever-evolving threat landscape and recover critical business operations if attacked. 

 To be considered for membership, candidates must represent a company in the greater Pittsburgh region (Central Ohio, West Virginia, Central PA). Vendor membership will be limited to internal positions that support the company. Representatives from divisions of national or international companies with a significant local presence are also eligible for membership. Membership is limited to the most senior individual in charge of cyber security for the organization, or autonomous division, regardless of actual title (e.g., CISO, Director of Information Security,   etc.).  

Prospective members must demonstrate a genuine interest in knowledge sharing, active participation, and service to the Greater Pittsburgh IT community. The number of members may be limited to ensure effective participation and meaningful interaction.

Members must attend 50% of the scheduled meetings/events to stay active.
